New job, blog suffers

August 24, 2008

So, I have a new gig, still at Microsoft but now focused on Australia rather than Asia and right across the business instead of being focused just on Search… great new job, loving it… but no time for writing here…. sorry.

A domestic Australian job means we can say goodbye to 23 international trips each year, though, instead I travelled to Perth and Melbourne on Thursday and was home by Friday night… :) Loving that!

Weekend pictures – Scarlett 3

These pictures were taken at a fete a few hundred meters from our house on Sunday. We didn’t stay long as we had friends coming over, although it was pretty good and the weather was fantastic.

Weekend pictures – Ivy

August 4, 2008

Although the picture to the right is a bit unfortunate, :) , the story is that Ivy walked up to the window as I was leaving the house to take a picture of Scarlett on the trampoline. She walked a good 6 or 8 steps and then planted her face on the window, I’ll think of it as a kiss, as only a Daddy can!

Early midlife crisis?

August 1, 2008

Due to moving office I had to get myself some transport; bought a nice car, 3 or 4 years old, it’s beautiful, immaculate. DSCN3481

The problem is that it’s jet black, Italian and has red leather seats, feels a bit like a cry for help don’t you think? Had the timing been slightly different I could have blamed the Wii Fit for the purchase; last night we tried it for the first time and it “calculated” that my true age was 52! Seems I have matured 15 years without realising it, humph, I may trade the Alfa in for a red Boxster and a bottle of Grecian 2000.
